My name is Barbara Vizi, and I am the owner of the "Diamond Star" Maine Coon Cattery. My cattery was founded more than 14 years ago, so I can confidently say I am among the experienced breeders in the community.
My journey with Maine Coons began in early 2011 when I got my first cat. The breeder's cats made such a profound impression on me that I decided to dedicate myself seriously to this wonderful breed. My love for Maine Coons has been unbroken ever since.
I spend all my free time with them, and many even call me a "cat whisperer." I believe that cats belong to nature at heart and feel best when they can experience it.
That is why I built spacious, safe, and practically luxurious outdoor enclosures for them, where they can freely enjoy the sunshine, watch birds, and chase bugs. For cold winter days, every enclosure is equipped with heated little houses, while inside our home, we have four separate "cat rooms"—two of which are specially tailored to the needs of mother cats and their kittens.

The health of my cats is my top priority. My cats are FIV and FeLV negative, and they have clear genetic test results for breed-specific diseases (HCM, SMA, PKdef). In addition, I regularly have their hearts and kidneys checked via ultrasound.I place the utmost emphasis on cleanliness and care, ensuring a spacious environment with absolutely no overcrowding.
They are raised exclusively on premium quality ORIJEN food, which is currently one of the best dry kibbles on the market. I provide a completely calm and peaceful environment for the mother cats during pregnancy and nursing. I also pay close attention to the early socialization of the kittens; they leave my care not as wild cats, but as well-mannered, affectionate "love bombs."
As a responsible breeder, I never let go of the owners' hands after the kittens move out—if any questions or issues arise, I am always here to help.
My cattery is officially registered with a cat association. In compliance with the current government regulations, we hold an official FELIR and facility identification number registered by NÉBIH (the Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office), and we provide an official invoice with every kitten.
I choose quality over quantity. It is important to me that every cat receives the individual care and attention that a family pet deserves.
As a special feature, my cattery also includes rare color varieties, such as solid white, blue-eyed silver/colored, and colorpoint Maine Coons.
My goal is to refine the breed and to ensure that the kittens born in my cattery are not only unique, beautiful, and true to type, but also perfectly healthy and sweet-natured, bringing joy to many families with their purring cuteness.
To maintain the highest standards, I have also completed internationally recognized, specialized cat breeding courses.
